This is NOT YOUR father's Jags or 'Rovers'. Yes, they still, alas, have reliability issues & MOREOVER they are Indian owned.
I love Jags. I have owned two, a 2002 XJ8 and a black, convertible 1989 XJS (the 'Princess Di' Jag). I loved them both. But they were the traditional Jags.
Not this Indian rubbish.
There has been talk that they might withdraw from the U.S. all together. They should. The tariffs will make them even less attractive.
I have no problem at all, at all, with them getting the hell out. Who wants to own an Indian car!
