I wanted a pair of SLIP-ONs to augment my lace-up 'Keen' & 'Merrell' hiking shoes. I wanted to forgo the lacing & just slip into a sneaker IF I wasn't doing any serious ambling.

I had heard that Skechers slip-ons were all the rage.

Plus, I have had some good experience with them before.

So I got this pair -- the TWO criteria being: SLIP-ON & ARCH-SUPPORT.

They sure delivered on that.

They are real, real comfortable. WOW. No complains, whatsoever, on that front. The slip on part also works.

But the SOLE. The sole!

Wow.

It has ZERO grip. I am amazed. Not sure what they were thinking.

I discovered this when I climbed onto the back of an upside down (old) aluminum rowboat to take a picture. I was slip sliding about. Not what I expected.

Yes, my hiking shoes provide me with some grip. Yes, I buy them for the grip.

The lack of grip on these Skechers is NOT a showstopper.

I will NOT wear them IF I know that I MIGHT be needing some traction.

Glad I found out BEFORE it was too late.

So, just letting YOU know.

Will definitely NOT wear them if I plan to climb any rocky mountains or clamor around on rocks. They will be lethal.

😇
