'Bar Harbor', Maine -- THE BEST U.S. Small Town To Visit In 2025? << Wow >>

I am very fond of 'Bar Harbor'. I visited FIVE (5) times just this year alone. So, no one can say that I don't like Bar Harbor. But this citation/recommendation caught me by surprise.

Bar Harbor is small in terms of its year-round, permanent population, but could anybody think of it as SMALL during the Summer -- & this year, Summer extended all the way to end of October.

Bar Harbor, even if there is no cruise ship in the harbor, is teaming these Summers. Not exactly relaxing. Yes, it is scenic -- but as a price. Plus much of the true beauty is out of the town (per se) in Acadia.

There has got to be better places in the U.S.

I would even plump for 'Boothbay Harbor'. 'Lubec' would be too small & lack the necessary amenities.

Interesting. Wonder what YOU think.

Not sure Bar Harbor wants anymore visitors! When I was there is October many seemed slightly fed up with the constant whirl.
