| Click to ENLARGE. < > < > < > < > < > During the 'summer', Kris is a delightful FIXTURE at Portland Head Light, at 'Fort Williams', 'Cape Elizabeth', Maine. He is by the main parking lot, with a popup tent full of his incredible work. I have been a HUGE fan of his for years. I have one of his iconic paintings of the Light in my bathroom, next to my sink. So I get to enjoy it multiple times a day. We have tons of paintings in the house but this one has pride of place. Last year, on Father's Day, I bought his 'Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse' print. It will appear on my first book on Acadia. I told Kris I was going to do that when I bought the print. Kris & his delightful wife ENHANCE Fort Williams. They are the de facto Ambassadors of the Fort -- with HUGE welcoming smiles and radiating warmth. If you visit Fort Williams you can't miss them. Make a point of going to see them. Chat with them. They have a wealth of information. Plus Kris' art. Wow. Check it out. 😇 |
