I have been shoveling snow by hand, in New Hampshire, for 27 years.
I actually LIKE shoveling snow by hand. I have never claimed to be normal! I am different & I like being different.
So, I know New Hampshire snow firsthand & intimately.
Over the last couple of years, in CENTRAL NEW HAMPSHIRE, it has been getting wetter & thus heavier. It has become like wet concrete. Snowblowers have a hard time coping with it.
That is why, last month, I sold one of my two snowblowers. I git myself a small ATV with a small plow. This wet snow needs to be pushed.
Yesterday we only (luckily) got about 3" of snow (at that). Just a tad to little, IMO, to bother plowing it with the ATV.
So last night, after my 'midnight' amble, I hand shoveled 70% of the drive. Finished it off this morning. It was hard, BUT I like the exercise. 😇
