Is 'Amazon' Overcharging Their 'Prime' Customers?

This article has got a lot of attention.

I don't know whether the overcharging charge is true.

All I know is that I, after over 20 years, cancelled my Amazon PRIME membership this last June 1st. Yes, I cancelled this year -- 6 months ago.

I have NOT missed it. Quite happy without it.

For 20 years I did 98% of ALL my non-grocery shopping & 99% of my online shopping on Amazon. Other than groceries, which I like to shop myself, I did nearly all of my other shopping online -- on Amazon. I didn't do any price comparisons. Just hopped on Amazon & bought whatever. When I went back and looked, it transpired that I was buying well over 365 items from Amazon a year. Yes, more than one a day. That would explain why it felt like we had Amazon deliveries every day.

Not anymore. I have discovered that 'eBay', to my surprise, is a great place for commodity shopping ... like dog food & T.P. Better prices than Amazon or 'Walmart' & free shipping (with no minimum price). I also discovered that most of these commodities I buy as such from eBay are shipped by Walmart -- and delivered the NEXT DAY. So, FREE, NEXT DAY shipping.

So, I would suggest that you too look at cancelling PRIME (if you have it).

Cancelling, to Amazon's credit, is easy. No questions. No hassle. A few clicks & done.
