Today, I Got My COVID + (Old Man (High Dose)) Flu Shots. But, I Was Jipped.

 

OLD, quite weak & prone to sickness, I like to be as vaccinated as I can. I need all the help I can when it comes to being healthy. Plus, for reasons no doctor can fathom, I have a acute & chronic shortage of white blood cells -- not enough to fight infections. So the next good infection could easily kill me.

I have no qualms about vaccines. I understand & appreciate the science behind them. It makes sense to I. Plus, I have been vaccinated since I was a child & I have not suffered anything negative. I don't think I have ever got anything I have been vaccinated against. So, I trust vaccines.

I have had ALL my COVID shots -- every one that I could get. 

At 65 I started getting the High Dose Flu shots. I got one today. So far, so good. Ditto COVID.

But, I was also jipped by 'Walgreens'. I was scheduled to also get an RSV shot & one for pneumonia. They old me I was NOT old enough for RSV! I hadn't heard that in years. NOT old enough? I am ancient. Appears you have to now be 75. I am going to contact my doctor. My insurance wanted me to get it. They, as such, were going to pay. So, I am bummed. Not happy.

They wouldn't give me the pneumonia saying I have had it before. But, it appears you can get it multiple times IF you are high risk -- & I have to be high risk. Damn. I am not happy.

But, at least for now, I have had the COVID + flu shots. 

Glad about that.

Yes, I always get these shots right before Thanksgiving.
