'Festival of Lessons & Carols', "St. Paul's School", New Hampshire -- A "Christmas at King's" Tribute.

As soon as I saw a poster for this event, even before I got to the "King's ..." part I was hooked & I knew that I wanted to go. I kind of recognized the picture!

What can I say. I am a SUPER-FAN of "Christmas at King's".

Growing up as I did in Britain (1969 to 1983), when we only had 4 TV channels & no cable, "King's ..." was a Christmas staple. We all watched it just before or possibly even on Christmas Day.

Christmas was NOT complete without "King's ...".

When I came over to the U.S. in Feb. 1983 I was delighted & relieved to find that PBS covered "King's ...". So "King's ..." was known & appreciated by Americans.

PBS, as far as I know, only stopped doing "King's ..." (probably because licensing it became to costly) in the last decade.

I also have some "King's ..." CDs though I now have nowhere to play these!

I plan to go to this Festival. I have never been to St. Paul's though I am quite familiar with its boathouse!

I am looking forward to this. I will, of course, let you know.
