Pope Francis, 2nd OLDEST KNOWN Pope, But 59 Popes Have Had Longer Reigns.

He is old BUT he also started old as pope, i.e., when he was already 76. He was the 9th oldest since 1400 (& he don't know the ages of popes prior to 1400).

He has reigned for 11.7 years. That is, as we can see, not that long -- though the average for all popes is 7.2 years.

Just a fact of life. He is old (at 88) but he started late. That can't be fixed.

But, he COULD get up to around the #50 mark! Think about that.
