It was good. Some parts were very good. Very talented. Energy like I have never seen on a stage. Yes, young, motivated & committed.
I was never into metal or gothic so wasn't exactly my thing. But, I enjoyed it.
The stage was AMAZING. Mesmerizing. Never seen anything that spectacular. Skulls aren't my thing, but it 'worked' with all the (artificial) candles. Shame about that. Would have been even more special with real ones.
Reminded me of the underground lake scene (with candles) in the 'Phantom of the Opera' (which I have seen at least 7 times(!)).
Didn't realize till the end, when someone told me, that this was a BRITISH ensemble.
They had a flautist that reminded me of 'Ian Anderson' & as such, at times, they reminded me of 'Jethro Tull' (who I have also seen, live).
They had 13 performers on stage -- though two of the singers were not on stage all the time. The female vocalist was a little, energetic, provocative vixen. She put a lot into it.
This, as you can see from their description (🔝) is a manufactured (i.e., put together) 'group'. I get the feeling that musicians are rotated -- over time.
The economics of such a 'group' intrigues me. With the crew etc. there has to be at least 20 people that need to get paid for each performance. Setting up the stage alone would cost a pretty penny.
But it was a 'full' house -- nearly 1,200 people. They loved it. A few young girls came painted and dressed up. It was quite the success.
