I LOVE Christmas. Always have. Have celebrated Christmas as long as I could remember.
Though my 'adoptive' parents were not Christians, I had a surrogate father who was a Baptist, childless (bar ME) and a lawyer. I spent Christmas plus all my weekends, holidays & vacations with him & his wife (my maternal aunt). He spoiled me year-round, but especially at Christmas.
I never got a Christmas stocking. Per my uncle stockings were TOO SMALL for the presents I was going to get from Santa. So, we would hang up large pillowcases.
So, as you can see, growing up like that, I had every reason to LOVE Christmas.
Plus, as my 4 kids now know to their cost, I LOVE to give presents! Plus, as they will readily admit I am real good at finding the best & coolest toys. So, for the last 36 years I have had kids to spoil at Christmas! What is there not to LOVE. 😇
Coming to LOVE Advent was an obvious progression.
I have celebrated Advent with all of my kids. My youngest, now 18, who loves Christmas EVEN more than I, has come to adore Advent. She insists that we do Advent -- in a BIG WAY, with multiple, present filled calendars -- each year, even though she is 18 now. So we do.
But this WISH is for YOU.
Have An Extremely JOYOUS Advent 2024.
