So Glad Incomparable 'Getty Museum' In LA Is Safe From Fires For Now ... But Other Art ...

I was worried about the 'Getty'. I was lucky enough to have visited, when they first opened, c. 1999. Loved it. Always wanted to go back. Doubt whether I ever will.

Glad it is OK -- though they now have TWO locations.

I had also kind of hoped/assumed that they built the buildings to withstand SOME fires.

So far, so good.

But I know a lot of other irreplaceable art and antiques have been burned -- not to mention antique cars, watches and furniture. NO, they are NOT just stuff. They are irreplaceable works of art.

Wow. Not good. But, I am so glad about the Getty -- for now.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.
