Vatican's New 'Be Welcoming' Statue Of Androgynous Angel Is DISTURBING, STUPID & INSULTING!

I guess the title kind of gives you a clue that I am not impressed with it & don't like it. SPOT ON.

WHY? For multiple reasons. But the key here is that I (personally) find depicting an angel welcoming the poor INSULTING.

Why?

An angel, IF YOU believe in WINGED BEINGS, must be able to do MORE than just welcome a poor person.

IF I believed in angels (& thank GOD I am too adult for that) I would expect the angel to do MORE for me than make me welcome to the Vatican.

If an angel has superpowers that enable them to fly, can't they eradicate my poverty.

This is all so stupid. What is the message here? God thinks it is OK for one to be poor while there is so much opulence all around the Vatican.

That is MY ISSUE. This is an insult to the POOR! 

This is telling the poor that God wants them to be poor. God made them to be poor.

Not the right message.

Yes, I don't believe in God neither (Thank GOD).

This is beyond me.

Grown men & women believing in angels ...

Plus what is it with the androgynous look. Angels are ALL supposed to be men though over the centuries they have been made to look like women.

My opinion. My feelings. I was SHOCKED when I read about it.

Yes, it disturbed me. I felt it was stupid. I feel that it is insulting to the poor -- telling them that God does not care about them being poor. That is NOT right. We should help the poor EVEN if God has abandoned them.

Don't get me started about the Pope!
