'A Deadly American Marriage' (2025) Documentary On Netflix -- Very Poorly Done, No Background, Rushed. Shame On Netflix.

Netflix has been making so many of these crime documentaries of late that I thought that they had the formula and 'format' perfected & nailed. Appears not to be the case. This documentary was POOR -- very poor. Insufficient background, little context. Rushed. Badly produced.

For a start we have NO IDEA what 'Jason' (the man killed) did for a job. He was able to just move from Ireland to a wealthy American suburb (with a fancy house) -- just like that. They appeared to be risch. So, it would have been nice if we were told what he did for a job.

Kind of DITTO about her, the wife, and how she went to Ireland from the US as an au pair. Possible, but incongruous. Au pairing was INVENTED in Europe. So that also requires some explanation. NADA.

Also the kids talk about how American they had become -- in what appears to have been quite a short time. Again, would have been nice to know a bit more about that aspect.

In the past, even quite recently, I have RAVED about how good these Netflix productions have been. NOT SO with this. I was left very frustrated and disappointed. As we got to within 30 minutes of the end, I started, ATYPICALLY, to FastForward (FF)! Had kind of got boring & repetitive.

I was far from impressed. A lemon. TWO THUMBS down.

Great STORY that needs to be explored & told -- BUT better than what was done by Netflix.

Hang you head in SHAME Netflix. You screwed up on this one.
