Wow! I got it dead wrong. I was 100% sure that it COULD NOT be an American pope -- because of Trump. I was wrong. Dead.

Yes, last year (i.e., 2024), after years of maintaining that we could not have an American pope I had relented -- on the condition that Biden was President.

As soon as Trump was re-elected I went back to my previous stance -- NO AMERICAN POPE.

The White House East & White House West syndrome.

It is going to be fascinating to see how this will work out -- especially with Trump.

Appears that 'Leo XIV' has been critical of both Trump & JD Vance! Wow.

Can't wait to see how Trump is going to treat the new pope.

He will, I am sure, INSIST on going to the new pope's INAUGURATION. Let's see the dynamics of that.

I am NOT sure the cardinals actually KNEW what they were doing!

They could have made a VERY BIG MISTAKE. Plus, he is YOUNG, very young.
