Do YOU see it? Do YOU get it?
Why do so many Americans have problems understanding & appreciating what 'Memorial Day' is all about.
Memorial Day is a U.S. holiday observed on the last Monday of May to honor and remember those who have died while serving in the U.S. military.
There are NO 'if' & 'but' about it.
It is a holiday to honor those that DIED
while in Service.
while in Service.
Those that DIED.
Those that DIED.
NOT POWs.
NOT MIAs.
Yes, of course, they (i.e., POWs & MIAs) too need to be remembered, honored and supported.
But Memorial Day is NOT their holiday.

Yes, I did speak with the store management!
A shame when someone NOT born in the U.S. has to explain such basic stuff to those born here.
