I enjoyed it -- though some of the blatant sensationalism was a tad tiring. But others love that. So, I am cool. Yes, there were bit that were extremely unrealistic too. Too pat.

But I learnt a LOT from this book about DNA & identical twins.

DNA & identical twins are subjects I have never given much thought too -- though they have come up in other books I have listened to, e.g., 'Cutting for Stone' by 'Abraham Verghese'.

It really got me thinking & intrigued by DNA! Wow.

I am going to spend whatever spare time I get learning about DNA. So much to learn, so much to think about, so much to sort out.

I owe much to Ken Follett.

His 'Pillars of the Earth' book, in 1998, changed the trajectory of my life!

This book got me interested in cathedrals, churches, christianity, & art. Prior to that I paid scant attention to 'that stuff'.

He set me on the path to becoming a papal historian! Something I have really enjoyed being.

I have read/listened to a FEW other Ken Follett books since. None have had the impact of PILLARS -- which in many ways is not that surprising. That was quite the book.

I am thinking of listening to it. In 1998, I read it. Maybe, I shouldn't.

But, I do recommend, 'The Third Twin', albeit with some guarded caveats. OK?

😇
