'House Rules' By (The Amazing) 'Jodi Picoult' -- Had Me Spellbound, TEXTBOOK On ASPERGER's, I LEARNT So Much.

 I just finished listening to this mind-blowing book on 'Audible'. Wow. Wow. Wow.

There are two books that I deem changed my life, viz., 'Pillars of the Earth' & 'The DaVinci Code'. I was tempted, multiple times, to add this to that august list. But, I had to be true to myself. This book came too late to change my life -- ALAS. I wish I had read it 4 years ago. But, better late than never.

I, luckily, am NOT a total stranger to the AWESOME 'Jodi Picoult'. I had listened to her (co-authored) 'Mad Honey', a few years ago, & truly enjoyed it. I recommended it to a number of people -- who to my surprise & disappointment didn't rate it as highly as I had done.

'House Rules' is quite the incredible story.

But, what is even MORE fantastic is that this book is like a TEXTBOOK on Asperger's & Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). How she knows so much, & can explain it so well, is a raw testament to exceptional brilliance & talent. I am in AWE of her.

Four years ago ASD & Asperger's were just words to I.

Then, in 2021, my then 15-year old daughter was diagnosed as being on the SPECTRUM -- possibly with Asperger's. Despite what she claims, I was & still am TOTALLY cool with it. I just wish we had learnt about it when she was 3. We could have helped her so much. I just look back with GUILT & shudder. If we only KNEW. That would have explained SO MUCH. We could have done things to help her. C'set la vie. She is happy.

I learnt so much about SO MANY things in this book -- Asperger's, ASD, forensics, & about 10 unusual, but famous crime stories. Wow.

How she got all this knowledge is hard to comprehend.

While listening to the book, I got on 'eBay' & bought a used paperback to keep in the house.

I plan to buy a FEW MORE -- to give to people. [I do that. 😇]

I strongly recommend this book -- with no reservations.
