The above 'Techradar' article, from a couple of weeks ago, SCARED ME!
I typically don't worry about malware because I am very careful as to what sites I visit & what links I click on.
But, this 'attack' scared me BECAUSE it happens when you try to make a payment after doing some online shopping.
It could be a credible, bona fide site -- that 'they' don't even realize has been COMPROMISED. That is what scared me.

I do 99% of my non-grocery shopping online -- mainly on Walmart+, (non-Prime) Amazon & eBay. I buy coffee, dog food, CLOTHING (e.g., shirts), shoes, TP, over-the-counter medicine (e.g., allergy) ONLINE.
I don't have the TIME, patience & temperament to go shopping. Plus when I do, I IMPULSE BUY. I am dangerous at a Walmart.
So, online shopping works great for I. I have been an online shopper for over 15 years.

But that article got me worried.
I do like 'fancy'/exotic shaving & skin care products, e.g., 'Jack the Barber' or 'Duke Cannon'. I try to buy these products, as much as possible, through eBay, Walmart & Amazon. But these buggers don't sell ALL their products through these retail GIANTS.
So, after some thought I opted to get a REFURBISHED Chromebook -- given that they are NOT (luckily) unduly expensive. I found a 14" on Amazon for under $150. This way at least I can PROTECT my PCs. Yes, I could use one of my Android tablets or my phone. But, I LIKE using a keyboard.
So, that is what I am doing.
Shame things are coming to this -- i.e., when online shopping is at risk.
Just letting YOU know. Hope that helps.
