I worked for 'IBM' from 1974 to 1979 at their 'Hursley' Research Lab (the largest outside of the US), in the U.K.
I started with them, a week before my 21st birthday, with a B.Sc. degree in Computer Technology. I was hired as an Associate Programmer working for the (elite) System Support Group that maintained all the mainframes at Hursley.
These were IBM's glory days. They were at their zenith. More money than they knew what to do with.
We benefited. We got a LOT of training & indulgence. I was young. My 1st job.
Well during the time I was there I was TAUGHT the above two lessons.
The 1st one is sheer dynamite. SO, SO TRUE. Think about.
The 2nd one has merit too.
Just wanted to share these two with YOU. Mull them over.
😇
