Well it, like so many of her books, is a GLOBAL Bestseller. And it deserves to be.

What I think matters nought. Just how I was left feeling when the book came to an end.

I loved the first 98% of it. Just loved it.

It was close to home. I lived close to 'Winchester' in my early 20s & was very familiar with the City, the Cathedral, statues, shops, rivers, as well as with 'Southampton'. So it was a very nice trip down memory lane.

I also had a friend, like 'Arthur Knight' in the book, who rang the bells at the Cathedral. He took me up 'for a ringing' one night. So I was familiar with that side too.

I just had a feeling how it was going to end. Not to my 'taste'. Too mushy.

But, nonetheless, a GREAT book.

So just sharing with YOU my impression.

Thank you. Pax.

😇
