That 25% of 15-Year Old DANISH Kids Can't Understand A Simple Text Message Is Shocking. But Tax On Books Is NOT The Problem.

I heard about this the other morning -- though the CRUX of the radio story was the elimination of the 25% tax of books.

What HIT ME was the 1-in-4 teens who couldn't understand a simple TXT.

Wow! That is bad.

I did not, of course, know that Denmark had such a high tax on books. Pretty stupid.

But the tax alone isn't the problem.

Today's teens are just NOT into reading books.

Not into much reading at all, at all.

Tik-Tok.

Videos.

Video games.

Drugs.

Those are the problems.

Sad.
