That the so called 'TikTok' INFLUENCERS are promoting their exploits in Acadia -- thus encouraging their fans to follow in their footsteps.
The BIGGEST concern is that 'they' are highlighting the most difficult hikes/climbs because, obviously, they offer the MOST DRAMATIC footage. These hikes/climbs also happen to be the most DANGEROUS.
So kids are setting off to hike/climb Acadia without appreciating the what is ahead -- especially the risks.
I saw this, first hand, towards the end of last season (i.e., 2024) & this year.
'Kids' climbing The Beehive & Dorr with NO IDEA as to what they were doing. Some were in bad shape when they got to the top. They had NOT realized what was in store for them.
This will only get worse.
No way it can be stopped.
This is the NEW WORLD we are all living in.
