I saw a cable-related cry for help on 'Facebook' yesterday. I felt for the poor soul. I had been there myself.
These are BUT SOME of the things I have learned the HARD way over the last few months.
USB connections on a Mac are TRICKY.
Just using USB cables (like we did on PCs) doesn't cut it on Macs.
Best to use 'Thunderbolt 4' cables. The difference is like night & day.
Also opt for POWERED Hubs. Makes a HUGE difference.
I also discovered (to my cost) that the Mac does NOT tell you if you plug in a 'NTFS' drive. Just marks it as 'Read Only'. So, be aware of that. Learnt that the hard way too. I first thought my drive was corrupted. It was fine. Just formatted NTFS.
Hope these tips help.
All the best. Cheers. 😊
