2,300 mile, 108 walk, in WINTER ...
Then a 7-day, 120-mile stroll in idyllic tropical weather?
Yes, Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country -- moreover from the same 'school' (or persuasion) as the Vietnamese. But, that is no excuse.
It would have been fine IF a group of Buddhist monks had done this walk as a TRIBUTE to the Vietnamese monks. C'est la vie.
The Vietnamese monks should have walked across Vietnam!
Now that would have been a WALK FOR PEACE.
