A Crusader Reaction To One Of Their Hard Fought Castles Being Glibly Captured By The Israelis.

I, two decades ago, used to be a real Crusader nut. Read everything I could lay my hands on & studied all the maps, etc. etc. 

But, until yesterday's news that Israel had (yet again) captured 'Beaufort Castle' in Lebanon, I hadn't thought about what happened to all the Crusader castles.

Wow. So many in Israeli hands.

The Crusaders did NOT work on 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'. 

So, they did NOT see Jews as allies. They saw Jews as enemies. They killed a LOT of Jews. They probably killed as many (or maybe even more) Jews as they did Muslims.

Now, so many of their castles NOT in Christian hands. I feel bad for them -- though, of course, they are long gone.

Just got me THINKING. Did you give it any thought? 😇
