'Anthropoid' (2016) Movie Now On 'Netflix' -- Quite The WWII Movie (But Sad). Made Me Glad Of My Lifelong Boycott Of Things German.

I am a history buff. As such, I am a sucker for WWII movies (& of late there has been quite a few GOOD ones on 'Netflix').

I think I am NOT alone in being IGNORANT of the atrocities committed by the GERMANS on Czechoslovakia or the Czech RESISTANCE during WWII.

So, it is good that this movie is playing on Netflix.

I can't say I enjoyed it. That would be the wrong word. It was compelling. Powerful, but in the end SAD & DEPRESSING.

A lot of NEEDLESS killing.

I HATE EVERYTHING the Germans did during WWII.

That is why, since c. 1980 when I saw the DAMAGE German bombs had done to 'Liverpool', I started to BOYCOTT all things German (including women). I have refused to buy/lease (& often even rent) a German car. I am PROUD of that boycott. This movie vindicated my distaste for all things German -- even now (though people like to say 'but it was only the Nazis').

This movie is only for SERIOUS, mature history buffs.😇
