Scottish 'Haggis' (With Sheep's Lung) Temporarily Legalized In The U.S. (For 'World Cup') -- Albeit, Just In Massachusetts?
I was kind of surprised. I wanted to make sure that YOU get to hear about it.
Despite my lengthy Scottish heritage, I am NOT into Haggis. I draw my line at Black Pudding.
Haggis appears to be an acquired taste.
Well, it appears that it was a good natured LARK, by the Governor of Mass. to PANDER to the Scottish fans overrunning the State during the 'World Cup'.
She scrawelled an Executive Order while on TV.
The ban on Haggis, because of the ship lungs, is from the FDA -- Federal Government.
Alas, a Governor cannot override the Feds -- in this case FDA.
So, this was a joke -- though I am sure (I think) NO Mass law official is likely to arrest someone for serving Haggis. Don't quote me on that. Serious stuff. If not properly prepared that 'stuff' could make you sick.
But, enjoy the joke. Amusing that the BBC seems to have been taken in by it. Possible they are just playing along in the spirit of the prank. 😇
