I have seen a couple of posts in the 'Acadia Hiking' group on 'Facebook' a couple of days ago. One said they saw one BREACH, to catch a gull, off 'Schoodic Point', while another claimed to have see one by 'Thunder Hole'. Possible -- though there was some skepticism from group members.
I just did some quick Googling.
Yes, there have been SOME Great White sightings off Maine this Summer (i.e., 2026) but to the South.
But, it has been warm. They could have gone up North towards Acadia. So, possible.
Just letting you know. Doubt they will bother any bathers off 'Sand Beach'.
