Partial Solar Eclipse Last Week -- Near Total Lunar Eclipse Next Week. Get Ready.

We had a partial Solar Eclipse in New Hampshire last week, i.e., August 12, 2026. I did post pictures.

Well we are going to have a near TOTAL Lunar Eclipse next week, i.e., August 27 -> 28, 2026.

The timing isn't too bad -- though alas it might be too late for kids. That is a shame. 

Decent timing for me. I don't go to bed till around midnight. So, I should be able to see most of it -- with luck.

Weather could be a factor. Too early to tell. I will keep an eye.

Just wanted to give you an early heads up.

Uplike with solar eclipses you do NOT need eclipse glasses for lunar eclipses.
