We (i.e., U.S.) Have A New National Park, 'Chiricahua', In Arizona, Our 64th.

Kind of exciting. It has been nearly 6 years since the last, viz., 'New River Gorge' in West Virginia.

Our 64th National Park. Yes, we have National Monuments, National Forests, National Preserves, National Historic Sites, etc. etc. Per 'Wikipedia' there is a total of 434 'National' 'sites' -- albeit with some double counting.

It was, like 32 others previously, a National Monument before getting promoted.

I am not sure whether it deserved to be promoted!

Quite small -- the 5th smallest.

5th created by Donald Trump -- though he has the reputation of not been a fan of National Park.

Just today I started updating my rather detailed National Park 'Excel' spreadsheet. Not done yet. Should have more data to share when it is done. I will, of course, share whatever else of interest I find.

Thanks. Cheers. 😇
