I really, really enjoyed this 2018 movie BUT I fully appreciate that it would BORE quite a few people.

You really need to like history and have an interest in sport to be even vaguely captivated by this movie.

Plus, it is in Hindi -- with English subtitles. That is NOT a problem for me because I like to read/follow subtitles. But that could irk some.

Lots of great stuff about the painful -- and ever so UNNECESSARY -- India/Pakistan partitioning. At points I felt that it did a better job of portraying what happened during this split than the award-winning, much revered 1992 'Gandhi' movie.

I have played a LITTLE field hockey -- at school, in Britain. Never on a formal basis. Mainly pick-up, informal games -- sometimes with my non-playing (i.e., lefthand tied to my belt)! Having one hand tied like that makes balance a bit precarious. You can get knocked over much easier. That was the point. We played for blood.

I liked. Funny too. Good drama.

Just letting you know. Some of you will love it. Promise. 😇
