First Time In 20+ Years Am Making A New Year's Resolution -- No Doesn't Involve Food, Drink, Exercise or Sex!

I am going to TRY & build this LEGO set.

I have had it for at least 10 years, if NOT longer. It was a Christmas present.

I just looked it up. It came out in 2009. Maybe I got it then. Possibly the next year. I wanted it, wanted it badly.

I have had it, unopened, all these years.

Tried to get my youngest (now 18) to build it for me. She declined.

I LOVE LEGO & have for 30+ years when I started building BIG, fancy Lego sets for my oldest daughter (now 35) while she was still a baby. She liked to watch while she played with her big-block baby Legos. Over the years I have built a LOT of Lego sets. I used to be good. Very good.

I haven't built one in maybe 9 years.

Time is running out. Now on borrowed time. So going to make time in 2025. Wow.

Opened the box.

The instructions show their age. Nothing like 'modern' instructions -- which are very detailed, systematic and easy-to-follow. Yikes. I am sure I am going to end up requiring help.

Wish me LUCK. I am going to need it.

So that is my ONE & ONLY New Year's Resolution. Make at least ONE LEGO set.

Any resolutions to do with eating, drinking, EXERCISE or sex would be stupid & futile. I can never make those work.

But, this I might be able to at least make a start on.
