Have You Heard Of A 'Theremin' -- 'Led Zep' Used One In 'Whole Lotta Love'.

Never seen one prior to Friday at the excellent 'Get the Led Out' concert.

They only used it, at most, for two songs -- & I am pretty sure one was indeed 'Whole Lotta Love'. It was towards the end, in their extended (15 minute) encore.

It was on the right hand side of the stage. They didn't bring it out to the middle. I wish they had. 

I was at the back. You can get a feel of my view from the photo.

I could clearly see that one of them was having a LOT OF FUN doing all these fancy moves with his hand. I had NO IDEA because I had never heard of a theremin.

After the show I got to the stage just as they were wheeling it away.

Next day I Google "strange instruments used by Led Zep".

BINGO!

It popped up right away. Didn't have to go digging. Wow.

I wish they had introduced it to us. They, i.e., the Group, assumes that we are all well versed when it comes to LED. I am NOT!
