Meeting 500,000 STEPS/Month Goal In A 28-Day February, Coldest & Stormiest Month, Requires Special PIGHEADEDNESS.

I have two interrelated step goals:

  >> 10,000 steps/day.

  >> 500,000 steps/month.

Well to meet the second I have to walk MORE THAN 16,000 steps a day -- and the exact number depends on the number of days in the month (of course).

16,700 for 30-day months.

16,200 for 31-day months.

17,900 for 28-day Februarys.

That February tends to be New Hampshire's coldest & stormiest month of the year does NOT, of course, help matters.

But I have managed to hit my 500K goal in February for the last 5 years -- including this year (i.e., TODAY).

I am delighted. By yesterday I knew I was going to make it.

Last 3 years I went to 'Acadia' for 3-days during the 3rd (somewhat warm) week of February. That would help because I could rack up 30,000 steps in a day.

This year I did not go to Acadia in February because I was there at the very end of January.

But, I worked on it. Making sure I was doing close to 18K/day for the first three weeks. Then I could ease up a bit.

  I started these step goals in May 2020.   

I have managed to meet both of them, WITHOUT A SINGLE FAIL, for 57-months.

Pretty happy with that.

57 months is 4 years 9 months.

I hope I can make 5 years.
That would make me real happy.
