Central New Hampshire -- Climate Change, In Pictures, 2023 --> 2025.

I vividly remember the snowstorm of March 14, 2023. I had an important appointment that morning. It had been postponed from February 28 because there was going to be big snowstorm on that day. As it happened the February 28 snowstorm was 'big' but not that big. It is a day we tend to get snowstorms. I know because I busted my knee on that day, in 2019, while shovelling snow. Well, as it transpired the March 14 snowstorm was much, much bigger than the one on Feb. 28! Just my luck. We even lost power as I was getting ready. So, that was 2023.

Last year we didn't get that much snow. What we got was wet & heavy. As you can see from the picture all the snow was gone by the Ides of March [i.e., Pi day].

Winter 2024-2025 was strange & different. It was very cold, unusually cold, for 6 weeks -- last week of January & all of Feb. I don't think the temp. went above FREEZING during all of Feb. We also had a lot of snowstorms but not that much snow, comparatively, in each. Basically a lot of medium-size snowstorms. Now, in March, we are in an atypical warm spell & it keeps getting warmer by the day.

Having lived in New Hampshire for nearly 40-years I know better than to think that winter is done. We could still have a couple of MAJOR STORMS.

The New Hampshire winter is NOT over until Mid-May. Mark my word. I know.
