I Closed Out "My GM Rewards" Credit Card Today -- WORST CARD I HAVE EVER HAD (& I Have Had Hundreds).

There were 3 reasons why I got this card (back in August of last year):

1/ They gave me 9-months 0% APR. [Fool to pass that up (though I get such offers quite often).]

2/ They were giving me $300 of 'GM Rewards' IF I spent $1,000 in the first three months. [Too easy.]

3/ This is when I was thinking of getting a 'Cadillac XT4' & the reward points could be applied against its lease.

Well it looks like I will not be getting a Caddy so I don't need any additional points. The points I have I can use to get one of the other two GM SUVs we have here serviced. So they are NOT wasted.

Yes, I got the 0% APR & $300 rewards BUT the bloody card was a JOKE -- actually BEYOND a joke.

'Goldman Sachs' who issues the card has NO IDEA, whatsoever, about handling credit cards. They are PETRIFIED about getting scammed!

Wow!

2 out of every 3 transactions would get DENIED -- because they were worried that the transaction was fraudulent. You didn't get a chance to verify or approve. Just denied. So very embarrassing and annoying.

I got really fed up. I just racked up charges up to my credit limit & then stopped using the card.

I just kept it for a month less than the 9-month 0% APR window I had.

Closed the bugger. Hated that card.

Customer support was atrocious too. They could hardly speak English.

DO NOT GET A "My GM Rewards" card.

So, so, so many much better ones out there.

Now you know. No need to thank me. 😇
