My third visit, so far, this year. With LUCK, it won't be my last. Last year I visited 5 times. That is about right.

Unless I have to deliver some of my 'Bold Coast' books to Lubec in June, I probably won't be back till late October. The Summer months are WAY TOO busy for I. I like Acadia in the Winter -- when it is EMPTY. Not the same when it is crowded.

I am LUCKY. I (no longer) am constrained to the summer school holidays. I can go off-season.

The weather was near PERFECT on this trip -- maybe just a tad TOO HOT!

Hiked 38 miles in the 3 days. I am happy with that.

Ditto a month ago.

So, I get good weather & no crowds.

Yes, it is COLD when I visit in January/February. But, I also live in New Hampshire where we have the same weather. It is COLD here too -- & I still do my 8 miles of ambling each day. So the cold is not an impediment.

Later October was still busy in Acadia last year. I, however, have a feeling that it won't be as busy this year. I could, as ever, be wrong.

All the best. Cheers.

😇
