When The Stamps On The Envelope Are Better Than The Item You Purchased On eBay.

I have been buying a few 'Acadia'/'Bar Harbor' related postcards, on eBay, in case I want to use the image on the card in one of the Acadia books I am currently working on.

Last week I bought two items related to the visits made by the 'QE2' to Bar Harbor. This was the second of those.

They wanted $2.00 for shipping (on a $4.99 item). Tad high, but I wasn't going to quibble.

Then it arrived yesterday. I was blown away by the stamps.

I knew at once that the 'George Washington' stamp had to be old. It was. From 1977. That is cool. YES, THEY SELL THAT STAMP ON eBay!

I liked the other 4 stamps as well. Never seen them.

I used to be a stamp collector -- like all boys brought up per in the British culture. I am not a serious collector now. But, I keep a few stamps, here & there. I am sure going to keep these.

I gave them real nice feedback on eBay. Cute. I like their style.
