'Ann Patchett': I Really ENJOYED Her 'The Dutch House' & I Think I Liked Her "The Magician's Assistant" Even More.

Wow. I am in AWE of 'Ann Patchett'. Wow. I just found out (on Wikipedia) that her father was the Los Angeles police captain who arrested 'Charles Manson' and 'Sirhan Sirhan'! As it happens she talks about the 'Robert F. Kennedy' shooting (by Sirhan Sirhan) in this book, i.e., The Magician's Assistant. It is quite the book. A very compelling intricate story told with such grace & flair.

We are blessed to have so many amazing contemporary female writers. Ann Patchett is only 61. I am still enjoying the afterglow from "Jodi Picoult's" 'House Rules'. I have 4 copies of that book in the house right now.

I definitely want to listen to MORE Ann Patchett. But I refrain from doing so back-to-back. I like to mix it up. I worry that if I don't I might fall into a rut.

But, I am already trying to work out which of her books I will buy (from 'Audible' next (albeit using the credits I get as a member)). I just scrolled through what is available on Audible & cannot make up my mind. I will have to come back later.

Well, you now can't be in any doubt as to what I think of her books.

Give them a try. You will not be dissapointed. Enjoy.
