'Market Basket' Supermarkets (New England): Involved In ANOTHER Unnecessary, 'Stupid' SPAT.

I have shopped 'Market Basket' ever since I moved to New England in 1986, i.e., for 39 years. That is a long time. << OK, I also shop 'Hannaford', but I go at a Market Basket, in general, at least once a month. >>

Yes, it is also true that in a previous life, most of my inlaws had worked for 'Demoulas Super Markets' (the prior name of MB) -- either part-time or full-time. One of my then uncles-in-laws was the 3rd person that had been hired by THE DEMOULAS when he was setting up his stores. [Suffice to say that Uncle had done real well.]

I like Market Basket. They have a GREAT SELECTION of food. Much, much better than Hannaford. Hence why I go at least once a month -- i.e., so I can stock up on things that I can't find at Hannaford. MB might be slightly more expensive, BUT as far as I am concerned that is worth it. The biggest difference is when it comes to meat & fish -- & I buy those at Hannaford!

I have been a BIG FAN of Arthur D. Demoulas.

He knows what he is doing & he tries to be fair to us, his customers.

I TOTALLY BACKED him during the 2014 strike. I wrote a LOT of posts (on my old blog) in his support.

I thought we gave him CONTROL.

Now this.

Not amused. It has NOT started affecting any of the New Hampshire stores -- as far as I can tell. Most of the young staff haven't even heard of what is happening.

Just aggravates me. Arthur should have GOT A BOARD that did what HE wanted.

So unnecessary. So stupid.
