'Buick' As American As Apple Pie, But Many Of Its Vehicles Made Overseas & Now Subject To Tariffs.

This is where & how car buying is going to get complicated.

It doesn't matter IF it is an American brand -- PLUS it will change from model to model.

I found this out to my cost yesterday.

I was looking at the Buick 'Envision' as a replacement for my 'Volvo' 'XC60'.

The 2016 Envisions haven't made it to OUR shores as yet. At best on a ship in the Pacific -- but even that might not have happened yet. So NO tariffs have been paid on these SUVs as yet.

But, already the BASE price, 2025 to 2026, is up by nearly $4,000.

Same trim, options etc. ONLY change is the year.

Plus, that is tentative. It could go even further once the SUVs have been unloaded & tariffs paid.

I am NOT keen on playing that game.

I am going to find American made SUV or buy a 2025 -- though I really detest having to do that.
