Saddened To Learn That 'Buick Envision' Production, At Least For Now, Has Ceased.

I have a leased 2025 'Buick Envision Avenier', that I got in August 2025, just ahead of tariffs kicking in come September. When I heard about the tariffs I rushed to get one -- though I planned to wait till Oct/Nov to lease my next car. Glad I got the Envision. I love it.

Given that it is currently manufactured in China the tariffs are steep.

Buick CLAIMS that they will resume building it, i.e., the Envision, in the U.S., for 2028. I am somewhat skeptical.

Buick, as I said in my April post, just doesn't get the marketing it deserves in the U.S.

Buick is the forgotten brand in the U.S. Great shame.

I am NOT sure if the 2026 Envision is much different from my 2025.

But, I am going to keep an eye on inventories. Come August/September dealers might get desperate. My Envision would be a year old, with not that much mileage. I might be able to rollover my lease without seeing an increase in the monthly payments. I have done similar, once before, on a 'Mazda'.

Hhmmmm. Interesting.
